LA BESTIA MARINA - Paul Ziller ( The sea beast - 2008 )
Película mala de cojones...
Un monstruo sale de las profundidades del mar, suponemos, y en medio de una tormenta se sube a un barco pesquero o tal vez lo sigue.
El resto de la película se desarrolla en un pueblo pesquero a donde va a parar el monstruo que ya no es marino, sino que sorprendentemente respira en tierra firme, por lo que diría que es un anfibio... Una especie mega-gigante de rana carnivora camaleónica.
¿Camaleónica he dicho? Pues si. El bicho de marras además de respirar en tierra, corre a toda hostia, salta como un gato, se encarama a los árboles como un mono y se hace... ¡INVISIBLE!
El film, resumiendo y ahorrándonos su pobretón argumento, es una especie de copia pobretona de depredador, en donde un ser horroroso se camufla en el bosque, salta por los árboles y mata todo lo que se mueve.
Pero el muy maricón no viene solo, y se trae a un prole de monstruitos cabrones hambrientos, que son versiones dimnutas de él y que atacan en manada.
Los bichos tienen la capacidad de soltar unas lenguas largas que agarran a sus víctimas, rollo tentáculos y tal, y escupen una saliba que si te cubren con ella, te dejan paralizado pero consciente. Uno de los pocos apreciables del film es cuando los bichitos se comen viva a una mujer paralizada.
Poco gore, aún así hay una decapitación, un reparto desconocido, y efectos por computador de tercera división regional. Hay momentos que el monstruo en vez de dar pavor, da pena. No gané para kleenexs.
Personalmente vi el film y me pareció terriblemente malo. Uno de los tantos bodrios para televisión por cable que emiten sci fi channel.
Lo mejor del film es su prometedora portada, que se queda en nada en la realidad.

Sooooooo i don't know what actually happened but I ended up being a judge for HIMSI Binus's Halloweeneuphoria "Halloween On Catwalk" costume competition hahah...:D
Now...the judge herself should also dress up, don't you think? ;p I've never really been to a Halloween party or event, but I do know that most of the time people would wear costumes that resemble certain scary characters, superheroes, or 'it' celebrities...so I thought...rather than going 'obvious', why not go 'conceptual' hehehhe...
I present you..."Man On A Picnic"...:)
I made my costume just the night before, and everything cost me less than Rp. 50.000 (or US$ 5) hahah...was fun making it!
