ARDE BRUJA ARDE - Sidney Hayers ( Burn witch burn - 1962 )

Un EXCELENTE clásico del cine de terror, olvidado por muchos pero que desde aquí recomiendo encarecidamente.

La trama (no la voy a destripar ni dar spoilers) va de que un matrimonio vive felizmente. Un día él (que es profesor y por tanto un hombre cabal y racional) descubre cosas raras por la casa: elementos, amuletos, talismanes, etc... para hacer brujería.

El tipo va investigando hasta que desenmascara a su esposa, a la que le obliga a renegar de esos ritos bárbaros y llenos de supersticiones. La mujer está aterrorizada pero accede por amor a su esposo y entonces comenzará el viaje al terror porque en la zona hay.... mas brujas.

La película NO LA SUBESTIMEIS porque es en blanco y negro, de principio de los 60 o no tiene casi efectos especiales. La película es REALMENTE TERRORÍFICA y tiene una calidad indiscutible.

Eso es fruto de un inteligente enfoque del film lejos de efectivismos, un interesante guión escrito precisamente por Richard Matheson (él autor de I am legend, yo soy leyenda) y unas interpetaciones muy buenas.

El actor Peter Wyngarde (el protagonista) en principio fue rechazado por el director Sidney Hayers, porque era gay. Pensaba que como era afeminado (su forma de comportarse cuando estaba de calle y no rodaba) no podía pegar para dar vida a un personaje viril y masculino. Pero los productores insistieron y fué contratado.

Al final del rodaje el propio director estaba ASOMBRADO con la labor de Peter Wyngarde al que calificó de gran actor y que había desarrollado un trabajo a lo largo del film fantástico.

Yo digo que nunca hay que subestimar a un gay por su condición. Muchas veces son mas hombres que muchos hombres y tienen mas talento que muchos heterosexuales.

Precisamente acaba de acabar aquí en Estados Unidos la primera temporada de Face off, un reality sobre maquilladores de criaturas para films fantásticos y tal, y al final compitieron cuatro maquilladores y resulta que uno de ellos (un gay lleno de tattoos y con unas plumas que no veas) hizo UN MONSTRUO que se me sorprendió hasta a mí.

Yo decía para mí mismo: "¡Que hijo de puta!¡Que imaginación tiene y que trabajo de maquillaje mas fantástico ha hecho!" Y es verdad: mereció ganar. pero también reconozco que el ganador, Conors, hizo un creación de una calidad estratósferica.

Arde bruja arde es un GRAN FILM sobre brujas y brujería que tiene un sentido de la tensión y el suspense fenomenal.

Yo LA RECOMIENDO. El final es de puta madre.

LOS NUEVOS BARBAROS - Enzo G. Castellari ( The new barbarians - 1982 )

De chaval la película esta me encantaba (era una de mis favoritas junto con Los invasores del abismo, ya comentada en este blog) y todavía me lo paso bien hoy en dia viéndola pese a que el tiempo le ha hecho mucha mella.

Esta película podría encuadrarse en el género Cutrepunk, en el cual es unos desabridos y tristes exteriores, con cuatro cartones, unas cuentas chapas de metal y tres mierdas, se recreaban películas post-nucleares en plan rollo mad max 2.

Pero en este caso, la cosa se desmadra hasta extremos asombrosos pero no por ello menos interesantes.

Esta es la típica historia de ciertos supervivientes tras la guerra nuclear que se enfrentan contra una horda de malvados motorizados y con muy malas pulgas, que matan a todo bicho viviente no se muy bien porque. ¡Tras la guerra nuclear sobra espacio para todos! ¿O no?

Estos belicosos y sanguinarios tipos van todos vestidos de blanco, y llevan unas hombreras acojonantemente grandes (ver fotos). Con esas pintas estrafalarias, a medio camino entre una especie de grupo fanático religioso y anunciantes de una marca de detergente que lo deja todo blanco, resulta que todos son... ¡Maricones!

Eso ya son palabros mayores...

¿Porqué no va ninguna mujer con ellos? Pues porque en sus ratos libres se dedican a comerse las pollas entre ellos.

Una escena INOLVIDABLE (palabra y no bromeo) es cuando el prota bueno es capturado y el malvado George Eastman, con una cara de loco que te cagas, le folla el culo hasta decir basta, delante de sus esbirros.

El protagonista, tras la brutal enculada, el chico bueno tiene el culo mas ancho que la boca de una mina, y menos mal que no le da por comer garbanzos, porque sino perdería un tiempo de la hostia atándolos todos con un hilito, garbanzo por garbanzo (como si fueran un rosario), ya que si no hiciera esto se le caerían todos por el culo y dejaría el suelo perdido de legumbres. Hahahahaha.

¿Quién recuerda en un film que un malvado se venge del bueno sodomizándolo? ¡Es genial y brutal la idea! ¿Os imaginais a Rambo, a Chuck Norris o a Steven Seagal siendo atrapados por los malos en sus películas y en vez de torturalos con descargas eléctricas o pegarles una paliza, optaran por esta opción y les pusieran el culete como un bebedero de patos? ¿Os imaginais tras esto a Chuck Norris tras escaparse, agarrar su ametralladora para matar a los malos, y al tiempo que anda y dispara, camina con las piernas arqueadas y el culo dolorido como si hubiera estado veinte horas seguidas montando a caballo? Hahahaha.

Pero eso no es todo...

Tenemos al niño inventor, científico y super-inteligente y al moreno que es un arquero , un guerrero solitario y duro que ayuda al bueno en su causa, y que elige puntas para su arco, que son explosivas, incendiarias, etc... Vaya: Rambo y sus flechas explosivas datan de ese mismo año, 1982. ¿Una casualidad? Vaaaaa...

Pero es que tenemos cosas molonas como la pistola del bueno, que parece que le pegaron con cola un puño americano en su empuñadora, el coche del bueno, con la cúpula de cristal encima, mil botones en el interior (en plan El coche fantástico) y como no, los coches de los malos que tienen mil artilugios mortales: lanzan cohetes, disparan chorros de fuego, sacan lanzas taladradoras, y hasta llevan cuchillas rotivas que decapitan como una cosa mala.

Y es que Los nuevos bárbaros no solo adopta una estética muy sci-fi (entendiéndose esto hecha con bajo presupuesto y por los italianos, mas pillos que el carajo) sino que encima llenan la película de gore: cuerpos explotando tras impactarle las flechas explosivas, cabezas saltando por los aires, mutilaciones, etc...

Mirada hoy en día la película es una psicotrónica rareza que en realidad guarda mucho de western en su estructura, ubicándolo en un ambiente post-apocalítico, y vestido con mucha violencia explícita y elementos de ciencia ficción.

El resultado es una película sorprendente, entretenida (eso es innegable) y que fascina por lo absurdo y demencial de su alocada propuesta.

Muchos comparan este films con Por un puñado de dólares. Sí al final en el inolvidable film de Sergio Leone, el misterioso Clint Eastwood lleva bajo su poncho una gran plancha de metal que le protege de los disparos, en este film, el bueno lleva bajo sus ropa una armadura blindada futurista hecha de plástico transparente indestructible. ¡Que pasote!

Seamos sinceros... ¿Cómo no os voy a recomendar este film? ¡ES PURA DELICIA!
